chicks and ducksEvery spring we sell thousands of layer chicks, broilers, ducklings, baby turkeys, and more. We've been raising poultry on and off since we were seven years old, so we know which feeders, waterers, and heat lamps are best. If you're not ready to buy, feel free to bring the kids here to peep at our little peepers! Available April, May, and June.

GLIDDEN Paints are manufactured by PPG, makers of Pittsburgh Paints and Olympic Stains. Our new automated tint machine will virtually eliminate mistakes and get you on your way faster. Find your rhubarb, horseradish, and asparagus roots, along with the experts who can help you plan out your vegetable patch. We hope you love to watch things grow as much as we do.
cANNING & pICKLINGWhen you've brought in the harvest, we're the place to come for canning jars, pressure cookers, water baths, spices, and all the tools for the stovetop. We've been pickling and preserving forever, so we have plenty of helpful tips. Time your visit right and you can speak to Tim, who's pressure-canned everything from stew meat to pickles and peppers to beef tongue...he'll talk you through the use of a pressure canner and keep you from exploding your kitchen!!!
bedding plants, trees & shrubsWe've been selling trees, shrubs, and perennials since 1990, bedding plants and geraniums since 1994, and in 2013 we finally built our production greenhouse. We love designing and creating hanging baskets for Mothers Day, making custom planters for Memorial Day, and searching out new flower and vegetable varieties each year!

backyard bird feedingWe were 20-something once, and never once thought about feeding birds. Then somehow overnight we have binoculars and an Audubon book by the window that overlooks two birdfeeders, a hummingbird feeder, and a suet block! We love feeding songbirds now, and we love to talk about our backyard birds with our customers!
We stock two special birdfood blends that you can only get HERE, plus suet and sunflower seed, and FANTASTIC upside-down suet feeders that save you money! propane fillsRefilling propane tanks has been a mainstay of our business. We'll fill your 20-lb tank for your grill with a FULL twenty pounds of propane! Not 16 pounds, or 14 pounds like you get at the exchange places. A full measure, and we're cheaper to boot!
We also refill 30-lb and 40-lb cylinders for your monitor heaters. *** 100-lb cylinders can also be filled, but MUST have a collar around the nozzle and MUST be transported vertically. We refuse to fill illegal tanks.*** |
